This week, we were excited to welcome the Burton Art Box to our school. A unique mobile art experience, the Burton Art Box is a converted horsebox turned camera obscura! Inside, it's a darkroom that projects the world outside upside down and backwards! All the children in Hedgehogs, Otters, and Owls had the opportunity to explore this incredible setup, marvelling at the view of our upside-down playground and playing field, along with the  upside-down children entertaining us from the outside!

Inside the Art Box, the children learned how the camera obscura mimics the way our eyes work and serves as a giant camera, capturing the world in an entirely new way. The Otters and Owls then enjoyed an engaging art workshop, where they created their very own mini camera obscuras and proudly took their masterpieces home.
