Dear Parents and Carers
Our recent advert for our SEN Teaching Assistant position has been filled by Anna Day, and we are extremely pleased to have her increasing her hours to full-time.
Join the team
This does mean that we now have a part-time SEN Teaching Assistant position available, working on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in Owls class.
If you would like to join the team at Beaford, please consider applying for the role. If you are interested and would like to find out more before applying, please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
This week
On Thursday, I met with our governors for our first Local Governing Body meeting of the year. We discussed the school’s improvement priorities for this year and how we can continue to develop the opportunities and support we offer our children and families. We also planned how governors will visit and support the school throughout the coming year.
I cannot thank our governors enough for the time, commitment and dedication they give to Beaford. Their support is invaluable in helping us to continue improving the school for our children and wider community.
Today, Otters performed their class assembly. Thank you to all the parent that were able to attend and to Mr Wright, Zenna and Jo for putting together a wonderful assembly.
Next week
Owls class assembly
Owls will showcase their learning this half-term by presenting their assembly on Friday at 9:15 please come if you able.
Parent consultations
If you have not yet booked a parent consultation through Arbor, please take a look at the available appointments and book a time that suits you. These meetings are a valuable opportunity to find out how your child has settled into their new year group, discuss their progress and consider how we can work together to give them the support they need to flourish this year.
School photographs
Individual and sibling photographs will take place on Monday. This year, we will return to having the photographs taken in the school hall.
If you have children who do not attend Beaford but would like them included in a sibling photograph, you can arrive at 8am so that the photographs can be taken together before the school day begins.
Pumpkin carving competition
Our annual pumpkin carving competition is taking place next week! Entry is free, and we are always amazed by the creativity of the children and their families. Judging will take place on Wednesday morning, so please make sure your pumpkin is in school by then. We are looking forward to seeing what you create this year!
Kind regards
George Myers
