Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to you from the final leg of our Year 5 London residential. It has been an absolutely whirlwind week, and I can say with certainty that all our students have been fantastic ambassadors for our school.
We’ve packed an incredible amount into five days! From the magical sets at Harry Potter Studios to the historic halls of the Houses of Parliament, the children have been immersed in culture and history. We also took in the sights from the London Eye, explored the Tower of London, together with a spectacular performance of Hercules at the theatre, with still more to follow!
I suspect there will be some very tired faces this evening, so I hope all our travellers get plenty of rest over the weekend!
Parking Reminder
To ensure the safety of our pupils during the busiest times of the day, please do not park in the lay-by at the front of the school if the bus or taxi are there. Keeping this space clear allows our transport to operate safely and efficiently.
Next Week
As we head into the final week before the half term, we have another busy schedule. On Monday, we have our Walk and Talk with Carrie-Ann, our Family Support Worker who warmly invites all parents to join her for a Walk and Talk session. It’s a great chance for an informal chat and some fresh air. On Tuesday, Owls Class are very excited for their scheduled video call with our SDM partner school in India. This is always a highlight for the children as they share experiences with friends across the globe and Friday, sees our Owls Class visit a working dairy farm to help explore their topic from ‘Field to Fork’. Please can parents make sure they have signed into Arbor and given consent for this trip.
On Wednesday we will be saying goodbye to Carole. It has been an absolute pleasure having her back in school; her help has been invaluable. We wish her nothing but the very best in her future endeavours.
Have a lovely, restful weekend!
