Kitchen Manager Grade C - 30hpw term time only

Start Date: 3rd February 2021

We are seeking to appoint a reliable and hard-working individual to manage the kitchens of our thriving rural school. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, preparation and service of school meals to our learners, staff and visitors.

Beaford Primary Community and Nursery School is an excellent, rural, community school, where emphasis is placed on supporting the whole child through every aspect of development. School meals contribute to this aim by providing healthy, well balanced meals using local suppliers and quality ingredients. We are a friendly and cohesive team with a positive approach and this is a fantastic opportunity to join us.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the safe production of food within a hygienic environment, being aware of dietary needs and allergies
  • Undertaking the organisation of food production to include; orders, managing the kitchen budget with the support of the business manager, maintaining efficient and effective systems to monitor costs and income
  • Ensuring our food provision complies with all health and safety regulations and meets the school food standards

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
