Temporary Maternity Cover

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, creative, flexible practitioner to take on class teacher responsibility in our vibrant primary school. We are proud of our imaginative, broad curriculum and this position will provide an opportunity for an excellent teacher to put their skills into practice and contribute to the continued development of our friendly village school within a supportive team. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the principles of effective teaching and learning, good communication skills and a passion for making a difference for all children.

 This role consists of 0.6 maternity cover and 0.4 temporary contract pending restructuring of the staff team on the return of the staff member on leave.

 We can offer a bright and spacious learning space, the opportunity to contribute to a creative cross curricular approach and a commitment to working together for the welfare of our whole school community. Teachers are encouraged to explore learning and take considered risks in their practice to improve outcomes for our learners. All staff members are able to lead at different levels and there is the potential to be involved with a variety of school improvement initiatives.

This role is to cover part of a job share in our Year 3/4 class. If the candidate is able to start earlier they will be supported through the first weeks before half term by the post holder.  This post is to provide cover for the second half of the summer term pending recruitment for a full time post from September 2021.

Temporary Casual Play Assistant - Grade A (£9.25)ph

8.45am - 1.15pm Monday - Friday

 

Required for the Summer term only to assist in our nursery due to an increase in the number of children. .  

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To provide safe and creative play opportunities.
  • To ensure all toys used are in good condition and remove any that are broken or need to be repaired.
  • To set up and pack away equipment after each session.
  • Attend regular staff meetings.
  • Ensure equipment boxes are kept tidy and stocked up at all times.
  • Contribute towards the personal care of all children
  • Work as part of a team including contributing to activity planning, team discussions and children’s development.
  • Liaise with Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) as appropriate
  • Some lifting of children and resources will be required
