Early Years Practitioner Grade C
Full Time Fixed Term
2 days a week maternity leave (anticipated end date July 2020)
3 days a week to cover a temporary increase in workload until September 2020

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, flexible, forward thinking practitioner to enhance and support learning in our purpose built Early Years Foundation Stage unit, under the guidance of the Early Years Teacher. We are proud of our creative, broad curriculum and this exciting position will provide an opportunity for an excellent practitioner to put their skills into practice and contribute to the continued development of our friendly village school. The role will involve contributing to planning for continuous provision, planning and leading group sessions for Nursery children and 2 year olds and providing the care and nurture needed by this age range.
Beaford Primary Community and Nursery School is an outstanding, rural, community school, where emphasis is placed on supporting the whole child through every aspect of development. Our Early Years Foundation Stage Unit includes Reception and three year olds, and we offer two sessions per week for two and half year olds and a stay and play session for children not yet in our Nursery. We aim to promote and develop lifelong learning for all through a challenging, personalised curriculum that is both creative and stimulating. We are looking for someone with the commitment and energy to complement our existing team.
An understanding of principles of effective practice, a reflective but dynamic approach, good communication skills and a passion for making a difference for all children are essential requirements for this post.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
