Information for Nursery Parents

Our Nursery it is well resourced with large indoor and outdoor spaces which promote and encourage creative play.  The provision is led by an experienced teacher with a team of well qualified support staff.   We can take children from the age of 21/2 for paid sessions and the term after their third birthday for funded sessions.

We aim to provide an environment where:

  • Everyone is safe and secure
  • Each child is respected as an individual
  • Positive relationships are developed
  • All contributions are valued
  • Children are provided opportunities to explore and learn in a wide variety of ways

Please let us know about any problems or worries your child has, and any illnesses or changes to family life.  Feel free to discuss with the Nursery staff any queries or concerns about your child.

Visits

We welcome visits from prospective parents.  Please contact the school office on 01805 603263 to book an appointment.

Arrival & Departure

Session times start at 8.45am or 9.00am.  Entrance to the Nursery is through the main school only. The register closes at 9.10am – all children who arrive after this time must be signed in at the school office.

If your child is to be collected by someone other than their parent/carer, this must be indicated to a member of staff at the beginning of the session.  Only adults aged 16 or over – and with suitable identification will be authorised to collect children.  Children will not be allowed to leave the nursery unaccompanied.

The parent/carer must inform Early Years staff about the following:

  • If your child has had medication in the past 12 hours.

  • If your child needs prescription medicine during the day.  A consent form must be completed and signed.

  • If your child has any injuries, bruises or bumps.  Parents will be asked to sign a record of this information.

Only adults aged 16 years and over – and with suitable identification will be authorised to collect children.  No child will be allowed to leave the nursery unaccompanied.

Please contact the school office if you will be late in collecting your child. A late payment charge may be made for regular late collections.
